Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.
This medication may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, nausea, and vomiting which should disappear in a few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if you experience: fever, fatigue, sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, abdominal pain, bloating, vision changes or eye pain, tingling of the hands or feet. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
